The house in Halcourt, Alberta. Inside there was a sink by the window where you could watch dishes out by the garden.

Anna started school (1st grade) at the Chester School in Hines Creek, AB in September 1942. That winter (1942) we moved to Halcourt. The move from Hines Creek to Halcourt was because the land was so much better in Halcourt. During Anna's 4th grade and Hilda's 10th grade in Halcourt, the family moved to Wembley. Anna & Hilda stayed at the house to finish out the school year.
In the move to Wembley, the Wolski's rented a house from the Penny's for about a year while they built the house in Wembley (Box 28, Wembley, Alberta) which is still in existence today (2014).
The Wolski's moved from Halcourt to Wembley because of the Church. They wanted to be closer to their congregation and St John's in Wembley was the closest Lutheran church around.
After supper there would be evening devotion. In the morning there would be morning devotion.
Every Sunday morning, Christmas Eve at nighttime, the Wolski family would go from Halcourt to Wembley to go to church (20 miles / 32 km) via horse and sleigh in winter and horse & wagon in summer.
"Look at me with that darling space between between my teeth. One of my gorgeous granddaughters has the same space. I'm wearing a homemade dress. And I love the way my mom is looking at me!" AWH
"Oh and just look at Carl. Oh and Don & Roy - that's exactly how I remember them. We played together all the time. Don's little salute - I guess he learned in the service that you salute with the right hand! " AWH
